TRIBUTE TO OUR HEALTHCARE WORKERS DURING CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Written by Diana Chan R.Ph, BCNSP (Pharmacist, Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist) , April 11, 2020
When I need you
I close my eyes trying to find you
But you are no longer the same person.
You are now covered with Coronavirus from people all around you
You say: Baby, I am the soldier in the battlefield with Coronavirus
It is dangerous out, but hold out, don’t go out!
When I need love
I hold out my hands trying to touch love
All I can feel is the cold thin air.
It feels miles and miles separating us although I know you are just right around the corner. You say; Baby, I can’t be with you now. I am climbing the apex of the battlefield with Coronavirus
It is dangerous out, but hold out, don’t go out!
Honey, I never knew I miss you so much
Six feet feels like 6 miles
Face time on the phone brings me to tears There is a glass between your face and my fingers
I can no longer recognize your face because my tear drops smear the glass
You say: Baby, we will soon flatten the curve We will soon carry the flag down the hill
It is dangerous out, but hold out, don’t go out!
Honey, I never knew I miss your loving touch so much
Uncertainty brings so much anxiety
I fear I may never touch your face again
You say: Baby, one day, we will defeat our invisible enemy
I will come home as a hero
I will hold you upon victory
I will celebrate my love for you
There will be no distance between us Meanwhile, it is dangerous out, but hold out, don’t go out!
